When the ban on lawyer advertising was lifted in 1977, Norton Frickey became one of the first attorneys in the nation to advertise legal services to the public. Norton Frickey's daughter, Janet, joined the law practice in 1980. Father and daughter tried several cases together. Norton retired from active practice in 1988, but still serves as of counsel to the firm. Janet Frickey became the managing partner in 1992.
